Most everyone who has ever been around computers knows that there are two major Personal Computer Operating Systems to choose from. The most popular is Windows by Microsoft. The second would be Mac or Macintosh by Apple.
The question has been for some time, what would be the third operating system? That debate was finally settled in 2015. For desktop/laptop computers, the third choice is Linux Mint. Or just known to us in the IT industry simply as Mint. Here is a good article on this subject.
I have been using it for a few years now. I have even installed it on customers computers have had great results. Why? Well first of all, the software is free. Both in price and the ability to re-use it and install it as many times as you like. Second, it naturally resistant to any kind of virus, ransomware, or various malware infections. Third, it comes loaded with free software like a really good office suite program and a software install app (like The App Store or Google Play) that lets you choose what programs you would like to install. 🙂
No need for FOBO (Fear OF Better Options). Linux Mint is a better option.
